What is a Blue Dot Farmer?
A farm that's telling you it doesn't support what's being done to American agriculture right now. It's a label farms pick for themselves. There's no certification, no application, and no organization behind it.
Is this a directory of farmers who didn't vote for Trump?

Are Blue Dot Farmers Democrats?
Most farms choosing this label lean that way. That's the point of the label. The map also lists farms that haven't said anything about politics, and those could be anyone. Blue means the farm told you where it stands. No label just means they didn't say.
Do I need Facebook to find Blue Dot farms?
No. The movement mostly lives in a Facebook group, which cuts out everyone who isn't on Facebook. This map is on the open web. No account, no group, no login.
What do the pin colors mean?
Blue means the farm chose the Blue Farm label. Dark grey means the farm confirmed its listing but didn't pick the label. Light grey means we listed the farm and it hasn't confirmed anything yet.
Why aren't there many farms near me?
Because this is new and every farm goes up by hand. Coverage is thin in a lot of places. If you know a farm that belongs here, adding it takes about two minutes and it's the fastest way to fix that.
Where can I find blue dot beef?
Beef is what most people are looking for. Filter by Meat, then narrow by grass-fed, grass-finished, or pasture-raised. A lot of ranches ship nationwide, so you're not stuck with what's close.
Can a farm be listed if it isn't a Blue Farm?
Yes, and plenty are. Any farm can be on this map. The label is optional and no farm gets ranked higher or lower for having it.
Someone added my farm. How do I change or remove it?
Go to Claim Your Listing. You can fix it, add to it, or have it taken down. This is run by volunteers, so give it several days.
Who runs this and who pays for it?
Lit Marketing built it and keeps it running as a volunteer project. Nobody takes a salary. It's paid for by donations. No listing fees, no ads, no farm ranked higher for money.
Who runs this and how it's funded
The Bigger Picture
Blue Farm Directory is built and maintained by Lit Marketing as a volunteer project. Nobody takes a salary. It's independent, not affiliated with the Blue Dot Farmers movement that inspired it, and funded entirely by donations. No listing fees, no ads, no farm ranked higher for money.
Two things keep it going: people sharing it, and donations. Post it, send it to a friend, and if you know a farm selling direct, send them the Add a Farm link. A directory only works when there's a farm near the person searching. Donations cover the map, the forms, and the sign-up tools, which runs a few hundred dollars a month.
